The Role
This is the perfect opportunity if your passion is to focus on specifications! With another staff member already in place looking over Builders & Contractors, your sole focus is the A&D community.
As the Business Development Manager for Specifications, you will be responsible for driving the specification of our client's products with key decision-makers in the Perth market. This includes building and maintaining relationships with architects, interior designers, and other industry influencers, as well as delivering product presentations and providing technical support throughout the design process.
You will be provided with full product training, working closely with the external Business Development Manager to ensure that product specifications are converted into sales, and you will contribute to the company's overall sales and marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key architectural and interior design firms in Perth
- Conduct CPD and informal presentations to educate specifiers on the company's offerings
- Provide technical support and guidance to specifiers throughout the design process
- Contribute to the company's overall sales and marketing strategy
- Achieve individual and team-based sales targets
- Business development and account management
- On-Site project involvement as required
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record of success in a similar specification sales role, preferably within the commercial construction industry
- Extensive network of contacts within the Perth architectural and interior design community
- Existing relationships with Tier 1 Architectural & Design firms such as Woods Bagot, Cox Architecture, Hassell is highly desired
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service orientation
- Willingness to learn and develop technical product knowledge
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work autonomously
