Our client is a privately owned, high-end building products supplier that has renowned product and has already established itself as a top player in the decorative surfaces industry in Australia. This role is critical for the continual growth and development of the company’s expansion plans. They continue to introduce new and innovative products to gain further market share within Australia.
Role
As the new Area Manager - Sydney South, your primary responsibility is to maintain and develop a territory consisting of Stone Masons, Cabinet Makers & Kitchen Retailers in the Southern Sydney suburbs, as well as overseeing key accounts in the Illawarra district that will require monthly visits. This opportunity would suit a dynamic and career driven salesperson that has good exposure to the building products and/or construction sales space and is looking to grow within a business long term.
Experience in the Kitchen & Bathroom products industry and/or an understanding of how to successfully maintain Trade and Retail customer accounts is essential for this opportunity. These critical roles will be the first boots on the ground in NSW for this national supplier.
Skills & Experience
We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate the following skills and experience;
- Strong presentation skills with an ambitious & outgoing personality
- Experience in Stone and/or Decorative Surfaces is highly desired
- Existing relationships with at least one the desired customer segments in the description above
- Experience within building products/construction sales is a must have
- Proven track record in sales and overachieving targets
- Good technical understanding of the construction industry in general
- High degree of energy, be self-motivated and desire to be rewarded for your hard efforts
- Stable track record of employment and desire to move into a long-term career role
