Are you a relationship-driven sales professional with a passion for architecture, design, and premium building materials? Do you thrive on influencing specifications, building long-term partnerships, and seeing your products featured in standout projects across the built environment?

This is your opportunity to represent a respected Australian manufacturer and take ownership of a high-potential territory across Queensland and strategic growth regions.

The Company

Our client is a highly respected Australian manufacturer with a long-standing reputation for quality, craftsmanship, and design integrity across the architecture, design, and construction sectors.

For decades, they have partnered closely with architects, designers, builders, developers, and distributors to deliver premium brick and surface solutions across residential, commercial, education, hospitality, and large-scale architectural projects throughout Australia.

Renowned for their design-led approach, exceptional service, and premium product offering, they have built a strong reputation within the architectural community as a trusted specification partner.

As the business continues to invest in strategic growth, they are seeking a commercially minded and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to help drive market presence and specification activity across Queensland and selected growth regions.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing Queensland and selected strategic growth regions - focusing on increasing exposure, driving specifications, and building long-term brand value across the architecture and construction sectors.

This is a highly visible, relationship-driven role where success comes from strategic engagement, consultative selling, and the ability to position premium products within design-led conversations.

You’ll work closely with architects, designers, builders, developers, and distributors - guiding projects from concept through to construction while collaborating internally with operations, logistics, production, and support teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

This role will suit someone who enjoys autonomy, values long-term relationships over transactional sales, and understands the importance of balancing design intent, commercial outcomes, and delivery integrity.

You’ll be supported by an experienced leadership team while being trusted to take ownership of your territory, contribute ideas, and play a key role in the company’s continued national growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, builders, developers, and distributors
  • Drive specification activity and increase brand presence across Queensland and strategic growth regions
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new project opportunities within the architectural and construction sectors
  • Manage projects from early design stages through to delivery and completion
  • Conduct design-led presentations and product discussions with key stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including operations, logistics, production, and customer support
  • Manage pipeline activity, forecasting, and project tracking through CRM and ERP systems
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and business development initiatives

About You

You’re a commercially minded and proactive sales professional who enjoys working closely with architects, designers, and construction professionals in a specification-led environment.

You understand premium positioning, solution-based selling, and the importance of delivering exceptional service and follow-through in a relationship-driven industry.

You’re confident engaging across all levels of the project chain - from design teams through to builders and delivery partners - and enjoy building credibility through consistency, professionalism, and market knowledge.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven business development or sales experience within building materials, construction, or architectural products
  • Exposure to specification sales or project-based selling environments
  • Experience and contacts within the architectural & design community - and the wider construction market
  • Experience within bricks, surfaces, façades, stone, interiors, or other design-led construction products highly regarded
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects from concept through to completion
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to balance design, delivery, and commercial outcomes
  • Experience using CRM and ERP systems to manage pipeline and forecasting activity
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing a territory autonomously
  • Willingness to travel throughout Queensland and selected growth regions as required

What’s In It For You?

  • Competitive base salary + superannuation
  • Company vehicle + tools of trade
  • Performance incentive structure aligned to achievable targets and outcomes
  • Represent a premium Australian manufacturer with a strong industry reputation
  • Work with architects and designers on high-profile residential and commercial projects
  • Long-term career growth opportunities within an expanding national business
  • Supportive, agile, and collaborative leadership team
  • Join a business that values initiative, accountability, and relationship-driven success
  • Opportunity to make a visible impact within a highly regarded design-led brand

Your Impact

You’ll play a key role in growing market presence, influencing specifications, and strengthening relationships across the architecture and construction sectors throughout Queensland and strategic growth regions.

This is an opportunity to represent a respected Australian manufacturer, shape long-term project outcomes, and contribute to the continued national growth of a premium architectural brand.
