Company 

Our client is a privately national supplier of high-end decorative surfaces. They possess renowned product which has been utilised in some landmark projects both in the residential and commercial space. They have established themselves as a market leader within their niche and this role is critical for the continued growth and development of the company’s expansion plans. They pride themselves on innovation and continue to introduce new products to gain further market share within Australia. This is a vibrant and dynamic organisation that are seeking equivalent qualities in their employees.


Role

As the BDM for specifications your primary responsibility is to maintain and develop key clients in the Adelaide region. These will consist of Architects, Designers & some High-End Resi Builders. You will begin your role with intensive training on the product ranges and you will ideally look to establish yourself and grow within the business. This role is not for the feint-hearted and requires a passionate, driven and exceptionally well-presented individual that can multi-task and possesses high levels of commercial acumen. You must have a firm understanding of specification sales, however our client is open to other interior product sales backgrounds.


Skills & Experience

We are seeking applicants who can demonstrate the following skills and experience; 

  • Strong presentation skills with an ambitious & outgoing personality 
  • Existing relationships and/or strong exposure to the High-End Residential and/or commercial specification sectors
  • Experience within the Stone or Surfaces industry is highly desired
  • Experience in building products sales is a must have
  • A degree or formal qualification in Design is also highly regarded
  • Proven track record in sales and overachieving targets
  • Good understanding of the construction & design space 
  • High degree of energy, be self-motivated and desire to be rewarded for your hard efforts 
  • Stable track record of employment and desire to move into a long-term career role
