The Role


This is a full-market Senior Account Manager role — and it is broad by design. You will be responsible for driving sales and growing relationships across every relevant channel in NSW, including:

  • Engineers, Consultants, Architects & Designers — specification & project pipeline
  • Developers & Project Builders — project procurement and supply
  • Wholesalers and Contractors — trade relationships and volume

You will inherit an established client portfolio, work alongside an existing high-performing NSW team, and be supported by senior leadership through a structured development plan - with a clear pathway to NSW State Manager within 6-12 months for the right, motivated professional.



Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Development - Drive sales of commercial lighting products across all NSW market channels.
  • Project Management - Own projects end-to-end, from specification through to delivery
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Development - Become the face of the brand and build long-term partnerships that translate into recurring and referred business
  • Leadership & State Management Preparation - Collaborate with and positively influence the existing NSW team. Shadow senior leadership to develop the operational and strategic knowledge required for state management
  • Administration & CRM - Maintain detailed CRM records across all clients, channels, and active projects. Track and report on pipelines, tenders, trade accounts, and project performance

Who We’re Looking For


This role suits two distinct types of candidates.


Profile 1: The Experienced State Manager

  • You’ve already led a state - you know what it takes to run a team and own a market.
  • You’re comfortable stepping back into a senior individual contributor role temporarily, knowing the state management title and full responsibility will follow within 6-12 months.
  • You’re not starting over - you’re positioning yourself to lead again, this time with a stronger platform.
  • Track record of owning a full market across multiple channels — specification, trade, and supply
  • Comfortable with the 6-12-month earn-in period and motivated by what follows


Profile 2: The Ambitious BDM or Account Manager

  • You are performing at the top of your current role and the next logical step is leadership
  • This role gives you the platform to prove yourself across a broad market, establish your credibility with an established team, and step into state management when the time comes
  • The pathway is real, the support is there, and the 6-12 months will go fast.


Required Skills (both profiles)

  • Significant experience within lighting, electrical, and/or related fields
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial lighting products and the specification process
  • Clear ambition to move into state leadership — and the self-awareness to know what it will take
  • Established network across one or more of the target channels — specification, trade, wholesale, or contracting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects
