The Role

This is a rare opportunity for a driven sales professional to step into the high-growth and highly rewarding lighting industry — no prior lighting experience required.

You’ll work closely with engineers, consultants, architects, designers, and developers, positioning yourself within the specification sales space.

Managing an established portfolio while developing new relationships, you’ll play a key role in influencing projects from concept through to completion.

This is a dynamic, project-driven role where you’ll manage multiple opportunities at once, provide technical solutions, and act as the face of the brand in the market.


Key Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth by promoting lighting solutions, designs, and product offerings
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, consultants, architects, and end users
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities while growing existing accounts
  • Manage projects from specification through to completion, ensuring successful delivery
  • Defend specifications and maintain product positioning across project lifecycles
  • Provide technical advice and tailored solutions to meet client needs
  • Collaborate with internal sales, technical, and project teams
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines, and project tracking
  • Monitor market activity, competitor movements, and emerging opportunities

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in account management, sales, or business development within construction, electrical, or related industries
  • Exposure to or interest in specification sales
  • Established or developing network across engineers, consultants, builders, or specifiers (highly regarded)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Current, valid driver’s licence
